Wouldn’t it be great if there was an easy step-by-step guide for becoming a successful artist? I think it’s because we are all different that there’s not a one-size-fits-all (a bit like when you become a new parent!). I know there’s social media but it's a great shame that artists with a wealth of knowledge and experience don't necessarily think about sharing it! And I've discovered that there are lots of guru’s/mentors who are actually charging to share their knowledge. That's a great shame really for us artists who are quite isolated and feeling their way, reinventing the wheel whilst trying to start a business, without having to pay an additional fee. I worked in a place for a long time where it was ‘need to know’, which slowly evolved into a more open and a 'communications & knowledge sharing' community... that part was much better! I am really passionate about training processes and helping others if I can. What I do know is that it does involve a lot of hard work, passion, an amount of talent, confidence, and persistence. Never give up and make it happen!! .
